  • My gg-grandfather is buried here. Came to see the site and take a picture. From the Google satellite view it appears to be on private property, possibly belonging to the home west of the site. I visited the county historical museum in Sparta and confirmed the Google maps location. They had no other information about the site.

Upon arrival I found that the grassy strip east of the treeline appears to be the access road. It and the cemetery were mowed alike, and appeared different from the home to the west and the fields to the east. I parked on the grassy strip near the road but it appeared that a car could drive all the way to the cemetery, at least in good weather.

The site was well cared for and peaceful. A big thank you to whomever is caring for the site.
